A sister in my ward is getting married on a limited budget and just could not find a suitable (Temple Ready) affordable wedding dress, so blessed with the talents of my mother, I offered to help. This is the finished dress. JoAnn's was having a coupon commotion weekend, and we purchased her entire dress, lining and the pattern for less than $60. I made it in less than two days. I am quite pleased. It is a full length skirt (just on the hanger a little higher).

Wow, nice job on the dress! Just a little something you threw together :) I can't even sew on a button.
We are expecting Greg Monday night or Tuesday. I feel so strange. I have been survival mode for so long now, I can't imagine having him home to help me, and to get to know our little Layne. By the way, that little seat is called a "Bumbo" seat. I've seen them at Target, Babies r us, etc.
Jenn it is absolutely beautiful. You have amazing talents.
That dress turned out better than you explained. :) It looks great! I can't wait to see the next one.
